Over the last few day we have received questions on the Postini Message Center about deleting the spam messages
shown within the Postini Message Center.
Questions:
I have so many spam messages in my Message Center. How do I delete
them all?
The bottom line answer is, if you do nothing the spam mail will go away on their own. Postini deletes
automatically all messages in the Message Center, that is more than 2 weeks old. You do not have to delete the
messages in the Message Center if you don't want to.
You need to understand that the Postini Message Center is not a MAILBOX.
It doesn't hold your mail. It only holds message that have been marked as spam. This allows you to quickly
review the messages and either have a message delivered to your real mailbox and/or add the sender to the approved
sender list so Postini will not filter messages from that sender.
If you do want to delete your spam mail, as I do once a week, I set it so it displays 200 messages. Then I just
click the empty box in the left upper corner, just to the left of the Sender column label. This selects all the
messages and I then click Remove. 200 spam messages deleted.
